Since it’s Tony’s birthday and he’s the biggest cookie-monster I know of, I decided to make him a chocolate cake! I got this recipe when I was in elementary school and I absolutely love it! It’s fast and easy to make, and it’s really moist and delicious.. I can highly recommend you trying it out :)
Chocolate cake:
250 grams of butter
7 deciliter of sugar
2,5 deciliter of Kefir-milk
2 tea-spoons of natron (baking soda)
1 liter of flour
3 table-spoons of cocoa
4 eggs
2 deciliter water
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (celcius).
- Melt the butter and mix with sugar.
- Add Kefir and natron.
- Sift the flour and cocoa in and mix together.
- Add water and egg and mix ’til it’s a smooth batter.
- Pour the batter into a pan and bake for 30 minutes in the middle of the oven.
- Let the cake cool off before you add the frosting.
Frosting:
100 grams of butter
250 grams of icing sugar
2 tea-spoons of vanilla sugar
3 table-spoons of water
2 table-spoons of cocoa
- Melt the butter.
- Mix together all the dry ingredients and add the butter.
- Mix into a smooth batter.
- Pour the frosting on the cake and spread it evenly.
- Add additional decoration if you feel like it :)
P.S.: This cake is good for freezing! It doesn’t taste just as good as a fresh one, but still delicious :)
