Maternity-leave

Friday was my last day at work for the next 11 months – I’m now on maternity-leave! It’s a very strange feeling knowing that I won’t have to get up and go to work every morning, and that there won’t be much difference between a Tuesday and a Saturday ;P I’ve been really looking forward to this though, and it’s gonna be great to not be sad that there’s another work-day approaching with tasks I don’t wanna do! And hopefully I’m gonna love being a mum, although the thought of that currently scares the living daylights out of me ;)

The fact that we’re about to become parents became very real when my maternity-leave started. Now there’s no question that Adrian’s arrival is approaching fast – I’m 37 weeks pregnant and there’s just 3 weeks left ’til the due-date. The labour can start in a few minutes or in 5 weeks – I have no idea when it’s gonna happen or how it’s gonna feel. All we can do is wait and see! Scary ;P

I fear that I’ll go a little bit out of my mind from boredom these coming weeks, but I’m sure I’ll find ways to make the time go by. Today I intend to clean our closet and sort through all my clothes, and I have several other cleaning-projects in mind. Tomorrow we’re gonna go out and buy the rest of the stuff we need for Adrian, and I need to get the hospital-bag packed. I won’t be out of things to do – not unless I want to! That’s the best part of this; if I get tired, I can just take a nap! :)
